General Class Information

  • Privacy Policy
  • All registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Payment and registration must be received at least 2 business days before the first day of class. Please allow sufficient time when registering and paying by mail. Contact the Red Cross if the course you want to take is within 2 businesses dates to determine if space is available.
  • You are not registered in a class until we have received your payment in full, and determined that space is available. Walk-in registrations will be permitted with permission from customer service.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment - we will call you to reschedule.
  • Please arrive on time. Late arrivals will not be admitted to class and you will be considered as not having attended the class.
  • Students will be required to actively participate. Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that will allow for kneeling and lying on floor mats as required by the training.
  • Students must attend all class sessions to receive certification.
  • For any full-day courses offered, please pack a lunch. Some vending machines may be available at some - but not all - training sites.
  • The Red Cross does not offer child day care facilities. Please make arrangements for child care before registering for classes.

Drops and Cancellations

Classroom Training

If a student registers for classroom training and later determines that he or she can no longer attend the scheduled class, the registration must be cancelled. The student should inform the Red Cross as early as possible of the cancellation because a Drop Fee - which increases in amount the closer to the class date - will be assessed beginning 14 days prior to the start of the class.

The following is a chart of the cancellation periods and their corresponding Drop Fee. Student informs Red Cross of cancellation...
15 days prior to the class start date No Fee
8 to 14 days prior to class start date 10%
3 to 7 days prior to class start date 25%
1 to 2 days prior to class start date 50%
The day the class starts
(or the student does not attend)
100%

Online Training

Students who register for online training have two days (48 hours) from the time of registration (not the class date) to cancel the class without incurring a Drop Fee. Cancellations received two days after the original registration date will be assessed a Drop Fee of 100%.
