Geauga, and Lake counties. We provide assistance to people in need...free of
charge...every single day. Your contribution means a great deal to the families
who rely on the Red Cross to get them through some of the most difficult times of
their lives. We are not a government agency, and we rely primarily on the
generosity of local residents and businesses to fund our vital programs and
services.

Where Does My Donation Go?
|
Locally, eighty-five cents of every dollar spent by the
American Red Cross, Greater Cleveland Chapter is invested in humanitarian
services and programs. In 2006-07, the Greater Cleveland Chapter provided
the following services to Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties:

- Provided assistance to over 3,800 families following disasters such as flooding and fires.
- Reduced fire deaths by installing 5,354 smoke alarms and batteries in the homes of residents who qualify as low income, disabled or elderly.
- Taught over 60,000 people how to perform lifesaving skills such as First Aid and CPR.
- Taught over 40,000 people lifeguarding, learn to swim, and boating safety skills.
- Trained over 650 students for employment at nurse assistants and home health aides.
- Served 766 members of the military and their families around the world, helping them stay connected to family members during a difficult separation.

In addition, the American Red Cross of Greater Cleveland also offers
the community the chance to learn First Aid, CPR and other health and safety skills
that will help keep you safe. We provide emergency communications for military families
and offer assistance to those trying to locate family members during local and international
disasters.

Your generous contributions help victims of over 340 disaster incidents across Cuyahoga,
Lake and Geauga counties, each year by providing:
