NEO-NAT Program Details
Presented by the American Red Cross in collaboration with Berea Children's Home and Family Services. The Berea Children's Home Family Services will provide a comprehensive continuum of services to TANF eligible clients. Services will begin at the time of recruitment in which clients' eligibility will be determined. Each client will receive an assessment that will include the completion of a psycho-social history, the Daniel Memorial Objective Assessment (Life Skill Assessment to determine strengths and weaknesses), a TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) in order to evaluate his or her academic needs, and Self-Directed Search (Career Assessment). After they are assessed, each client will receive up to 45 hours of Life Skills. Our curriculum is based on "The New Making it on Your Own". The groups are a combination of Job Readiness including interviewing, resume writing and Life Skills including money management, goal setting and educational planning. Our program also provides Case Management services to support the clients through the Nurse Assistant Training Program and to help them secure employment. Our model provides 8-10 weeks of services to all the clients.
